Well, gee, since I'm kinda old, I use a manual book of Czech maps and look in the back in the index (with my magnifying glass in hand). I go letter by letter with what I guess it's going to be, until it doesn't quite match, and then sort of look through by region, because I usually know if it is Bohemia or Moravia, north or south.
On the other hand, in actapublica, you start typing slo.o.o.w.l.y and it brings up a list, like a wildcard in windows. When you get the list down to a manageable number, again, you look for the one that seems to match.
Well, there's no village that starts with Libož in my mapbook. But there is a Libořice near Hradec Kralove. The ř and ž could sound the same to some people. I haven't read any of the other replies to see if anyone else came up with the same thing.
