My 2 gg father Wemcel/Wenzl/Vaclav/William Karela/Karel from Nadryby born est 1838-1842. Died 1908? in NYC he was a cigarmaker. Marriage record never found in US to Antoine Pekarek Karel born 1854, vilage in bohemia unknown at this time. Both were cigarmakers. Antoine/Antoinette/ Nellie came to America in 1872, Wenzl in 1860.. Antoine Pekarek Karel passed away 3 Apr 1940 in Woodside, Queens, New York.
Looking at CZ Rep archies but nothing posted yet. Can't find 2 gg mother's Antoinette Pekarek's social security. (Don't think she had one.. too early). Immigration lists germany as place of birth, obituary lists Czechslovakia. Any ideas where to go to find her place of birth? Thanks Karen
I think Wenzl had a brother named Anton died close to same time.
