Dear Patty,

I believe your ancestor John is a brother to my ancestor. John was born 10 Jan 1855 in Weissenburg. He moved with the family to Cammin from which the family emigrated to the US in 1883/1884. He lived and died in Hinsdale 1935. I have many more details and a copy of the ship record. If you are interested in this information please email me. I have reviewed water damaged records from the Sensburg area.. not certain if it is the same church, but there were Hinz families there. I have just restarted my research on this family. John Hinz (b.1855) was the son of Christoph Hinz and Augusta Amelia Spakovious. Christoph's father was Johann. John came to America with his parents and siblings. His father Christoph died in my hometown of Merrill WI, which is where two of John's brothers moved to after WWI.
