Thanks, Katka. I had no clue about the Michin surname, and I guess we still don't about Magdalena, who would be my gggg grandmother. (I could try the "if she wants to be found" challenge that worked so well for finding Josefa last week.) I did see the Veronika, thought I was imagining it. After all, I've confused Katerina and Frantiska more than once.

I put up a link to the marriage info for 4 of them; they don't say a thing about the mother. I'll repeat it here, though:

320 and 322, 2 records on each image.

The only death record I found was in the late 1700s, a very elderly man at house 3, so probably an ancestor. If the wife died, I should have found her record. It's probably worth my time to look again. There's an index for this time period, Jimramov 15701 image 29.

This village is apparently "new", having been founded in the second half of the 1700s. It is VERY pretty; each house is set on a large lot. I hope I can go there someday.
