The name Halavacs and Szidor from Makkosjanosi, Bereg Megye are familiar. My husband's aunt Julia married Anton Dudas in 1910. Both were from Makkosjanosi. Anton's mother's maiden name was Catherine Halavacs and father was John Dudas according to our Trenton State Archives. I have the Immigration Arrival Record of when the last aunt came to America (Irma). This was in 1913. Szidor Veron age 24 was also on the ship with her. Veron's father was Dudash Janos from Makkosjanosi. Her brother was Anton who married my husband's aunt.
