I am trying to find a copy of my grandfathers birth certificate. His name was Gyorge (we are not sure of the proper Hungarian spelling) Varga, he was born 26.August 1917 in Heves Hungary. In 1946 he and his wife, my grandmother, Magdalena(in Hebrew Miriam)nee Handelsman and their two children moved to Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic).
He died 21.January 1984 in Czechoslovakia. With finding of his certificate I would be able to find out my great grandmothers and great grandfathers surnames. We believe my great grandmother, whose name was Teresa, was of some noble descend. Some of my grandfathers relatives are still alive in Hungary, but refused to stay in touch after my grandfathers death.
I wondered, whether I would be able to obtain the copy from Heves birth and death registry. I have not been able to find any internet link to the office or any contact number. Most probably as I do not speak Hungarian.
