I am currently researching the portion of my Hungarian ancestry that leads to the 2 referenced towns. I have a few questions pertaining to each.

Nyirbator: reference family names: Grosz / Gross, Greif
I have a good deal of information about this line and will again be examining the FHL film library for Nyirbator in the near future.
I am wondering if anyone on this list can tell me about any Synagogues or Jewish cemeteries in the vicinity.

Nyirgyulaj: reference family name: Grosz / Gross
When searching the FHL site on-line for Nyirgyulaj, it only returns references to registry records for the Reformed and the Greek Catholic religions but not the Jewish.
I am looking for Jewish records for this town. Any suggestions?
I am also looking for any information regarding where the Jews of Nyirgyulaj may have worshiped or been buried.

The time frame of my interest is approx. 1850 to 1920

Thank you to anyone who can assist.

Alex
