My grandfather Joseph Wierzbinski immigrated to the US around 1901. He stated he was from (gub) Suwalska and a parish (SP) Scielna. He was born March 15, 1891. He ended up in Chicago in the ninth ward and married Stanislawa Chulska in 1916. He had one brother Casmir.
Does anyone have any information if this Wierzbinski family is from Suwalska? Is there a Catholic Church with baptismal records in this area?

Also I see in some records the word (OPUSTEK) OR (OPUSTER) ?
