I noted the surname of Herdzik mentioned here and the town Pysznica. I just came back from Poland last month and spent five days in Pysznica visiting family and doing research @ the church archives.
My 3rd great grandmother was Anna (also listed as Marianna) Herdzik. She married a Sebastian Popek and had a daughter by the name of Agnieszka in Jan 1810. Agnes married a Jan Pawleniak, they had a daughter Ewa who married a Jan Mierzwa. Wondering if any of these names or surnames ring a bell from your research? I can tell you im finding a lot of the surnames intertwined numerous times…If your ancestors are from Pysznica, expect it!
(small town, disease, not many choice for spouses etc)
Best regards,
Mike
