Searching for Ewa Korzepa/Korzempa who married John Straub/Sztraub in Deba in the mid-1880's. Had daughters Kordula (who carried Ewa's maiden name but was John's daughter) born in 1887 and Mary, who was legitimate and known as Marya Straub/Sztraub. I have Kordula's baptismal record from Majdan Krolewski(?) that she had ordered from her residence in Pennsylvania proving that her parents were not married at the time of her birth (but were when her sister Mary came along).

Trying to find extended family and more information. When Kordula emigrated, she stated she was heading to her brother-in-law, August Rebisz. Krodula, who went by Katrazyna Straub during her trip, was heading to her future husband, Josef Wdowiak who was from Stary Nart and residing in Edwardsville, PA.

Did Kordula and Mary have siblings who stayed behind in Poland? What happened to their parents? My grandmother remembers her mother (Kordula) receiving letters from family begging for food and clothing but then the war started and the family were never heard from again.

Anyone in Nowa Deba who may be related?
