KROHS in Prussia/Poland

Posted: 26 Oct 2012 1:26PM GMT
Classification: Query
Surnames: KROHS, BRODT, MASCHKE
A previous message I posted had the name of Krofs. I have since found that an "f" in Prussian script is really an "h", so the name is Krohs. My 2 gr grandmother Wilhelmine (Krohs) Brodt was born 1818 in Zechlin, parish Langebose, Prussia, now the Pomeranian region of Poland, between Slupsk & Gdansk. Other Krohs names in Zechlin include Theodore Krohs (possibly b. 1820s), Ludwig Krohs (possibly b. 1820s), Bertha Krohs (possibly b. 1850s), & Friedrich Brodt (possibly b. 1840s). Birth years are guesses, based on the age of their children at death.

Parish & civil records for that area are limited to the 1870s & early 1880s. I'm looking for descendants, relatives or researchers for Krohs, Brodt, & Maschke in northern Poland. Thanks in advance for replies.
