John Bobrowski 1835-1922 married Paulina Jakusz 1835-1897 supposedly they had 10 children I have information on 9 of them. One of their children is Maryanna my Great-grandmother. John and Paulina came to America in 1891 first to Chicago then to central Wisconsin where they both died. I don't have info on John's parents but I do have info on Paulina's (not 100% proven yet). There is a date problem from different sources but circumstancial evidence is strong that Paulina's parents were Lukasz and Marianna (Gruchala) Jakusz. My ggrandmother Marianna was born in Pierszczewo near Kartuzy (formerly Karthaus, Prussia) Pierszczewo is about 6 Km NE of Stezyca. Marianna was married to my ggrandfather August Mallek in Chicago, soon after they also moved to central Wisconsin. The Mallek family is very closely related to the Bobrowski family there are at least 3 marriages that I am aware of. My ggrandparents, my ggrandfathers brother John Mallek married Maryanna's sister Antonina Bobrowski and a nephew of the Mallek brothers married a niece of the Bobrowski sisters. I have seen some information on a Joseph Bobrowski living on the east coast that would fit in the timeline of being one of John and Pauline's children. Could he be the missing 10th child?
