Hello Dick,

I just started researching my husband's family in Syracuse, NY. His great grandmother Caroline Czirr who married August Krause is the sister of Henry A Czirr who is buried in Woodlawn Cemetery..d 9 Sep 1912. I see that your post was in 2005 so I have to assume you have more information than you did then. The Czirr family was from Stolp,Pommern, Prussia, which was part of Germany at that time. After WW11 it became part of Poland and is called Slupsk. It is on the Baltic Sea. The Family History Library has filmed almost nothing from this area so I am wondering how to get records. I understand the archive there isn't very helpful. I would love to hear what you have found and will share what I have. You can write to me at: relatvs@gmail.com.

Are you related to Henry??
