Looking for any information on family. This is what I've gathered so far, but would appreciate any additional info.
As per manifest for S.S. Caledonia (Glasgow to New York, Dec 26, 1902 to Jan. 4, 1903)
Ignotas or Ignatas Petruszkewicas, coal miner, age 27 (born 1882?) Pojevon, Russia [Also something that looks like Brasta (sp?) is penned alongside.] Manifest says he could read and write. Would there be anything like school records to indicate his parents' names?
Manifest shows his wife, Ona, age 25 (born 1884?) Suwalki, Russia. The handwriting on my father's birth certificate is diffucult to read, but I think her maiden name was Leferute or Feferute. My older siblings vaguely remember a hearing that she her parents died in some sort of epidemic and that she and her brother were taken in by relatives or friends. She was also known as Annie Weaver, so we think her foster/adoptive? parents may have been in Scotland. She and my grandfather were married in Bothwell, Scotland, in August 1905.
Their son (my father), Petras Petruszkewicas, age 2 months (born Oct. 26, 1908, Bellshill, Scotland.)
The manifest showed their contact in Scotland as Pynszas Woslins, Viewpark, Bellshill.
Their contact in USA was S. Szulduskas, 323 Grand St., Jersey City, New Jersey.
