I am researching the Woitaszewski family lineage back to when a Frank and Mary Wojtaszewski came over to the United States from Poland around 1880. I guess they changed the spelling of the name from Wojt... to Woit.... after they came over here because they thought it would be easier for people to spell. I am in a round about way researching the Lewandowski name also. My great great grandfather was Frank Woitaszewski and he and his wife Mary (Lewandowski) Woitaszewski came over here to Ashton Sherman Co. Ne. from Poland in 1881. I have all the information on the whole Woit... family after that but I am trying to find info before 1881.
