Hi. I've been on Ancestry now for over a year and have had very good success. I can trace back to mid to late 1800's in the US but all stops here. The only clue I have for place of birth is "Russia Poland" and a clue from an old family story about Cossacks which may localize origins to Ukraine. Any help as to where to go next? The immigration search here has not produced any ships or manifests of help. Thanks in advance.

The greatest success I've had is finding my grandfathers WWI draft card where he listed the specific village in Hungary where he was born. All other ancestors were vague. Frank
