I don't quite understand your message. Which Winceks and spouses are your direct ancestors? Are you saying that John is the father of Anthony, who is the father of Stanley, who is the father of Francis?
In my family tree (actually this is my husband's), Anthony did not have a child named Stanley, and there was no Francis. All of my Winceks originally came to Chicago. I have heard of other Winceks that went to Pennsylvania, and there are some currently in California. At this time I know of no connection between them. I would still like to hear from you however, through this message board for now, if you are still interested in communicating.
As for the name, it is a common misconception that customs misspelled the names of so many immigrants. Especially in the late 1800's to now, the officials had passports with the immigrant's name to refer to. The Wincek name was and mostly still is, spelled in Poland as: Wiecek - the first "e" has a "tail." This gives it the sound - "en" and of course, the W is pronounced like a V in English, though you probably already know this.
Please post again and we'll see if there is a connection between our families.
