Did you end up finding out any more about the pre-Australian Qualischefski line? Our family could only track down the two brothers arriving in Australia, much like your own research. One brother started the Lutheran line the other the Catholic line (we are from the former). My father spoke to his grandparents (many decades ago) and he was told the brothers were both in the Prussian army and they "had to immigrate" what ever that means.
