Hi,

I just got the naturalization papers for my husband's great grandmother. Up until now, his grandmother and family have gone by the name Stempkowski. On the petition the name is Stanpkowska. The same name is also used on her certificate of arrival. I have yet to find someone with that surname by a google search., I don't think it is correct. It seems more reasonable it might have been Stankowska-which I *have* seen while looking for the surname info. I'm hoping someone will know if this is an actual Polish surname or if it was misspelled. She is from Ciechanowo.

Also, she went by the name Victoria while here, obviously the Polish version is different but I have 2 spellings on that as well. One form says Wiktorje and the other Wiktorja-Which one is correct?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
