I am looking for more information on my grandfather, Jules Anthony Mayer (born 23 October 1898, likely in Muráň, Slovakia), and his mother, Mary Anne Zigo (born 14 November 1876, Muráň, Slovakia, immigrated to USA in 1912). Muráň is a village in the Banská Bystrica Region of Slovakia. Mary married Paul Thomas (born 7th August, 1885, also in Muráň) in 1906, in Slovakia. Paul Thomas was not Jules's father. I'm not sure who Jules's father was, but our family assumes his last name was Mayer.
Mary Ann's birth year may have been 1884. The year of birth in her death certificate is different than that recorded in the 1930 US Census.
I'd be happy to compare notes with anyone, and any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.
