Classification: Query
Surnames: SULIN, SULLIN, SLOFF
SULIN Family that emigrated from Austria-Hungary (Slovakia) in the mid to late 1800’s, to Pennsylvania. John SULIN, came with several brothers, two identified as Andrew and Michael, other names not known. John married Elizabeth SLOFF, (who also Emigrated from Slovakia) and settled in Helvetia, PA as a coal miner. It is believed that one or more of his brothers moved with him to the Jefferson and Clearfield County, PA area. Others remained in the Dunlo, PA area, in Cambria County. Various Sulin relatives moved into the Northeast Ohio area, some changing the surname spelling to SULLIN. It is also known that at least one relative settled in the state of Alabama. Any information concerning my GF John SULIN, the SLOFF family, and other ancestors would be greatly appreciated.
