My husband's great great grandfather was a Joseph Fures/Furesz of Hummene. He was the only school teacher there and had an arranged marriage with Julia Krulisky. This was around 1902. Julia's first child was born 9 months later and after four children and a horrible life, she fled with her brothers Edward and Joseph Krulisky to PA and MI. She sent for her children in 1922. Joseph Fures followed her to the US and landed in Detroit where he had a stroke and was placed in an indigent hospital there called Eloise. His family would have nothing to do with him because of the abuse he gave.

I am trying to locate in Hummene, any Fures/Furesz family who may be still living in that area who have information on Joseph and any siblings.
