Sorry for the 4 yr late reply. I missed so many messages. My Caraccioli line is from Palermo, Sicily. Robet Caraccioli 1831-1850 moved to South Carolina and changed his name to Robert Hunter. I think some of them went into exile or had to flee the Country. His Father was Salvatore, his Mother was Victoria. He married Elvira Elizibeth Burie. Robert and Elvira had 13 childen. One of their children was my G-G-Grandmother: Victoria Eugenia Hunter, She married Charles Perry Clark. They gave birth to my G-Grandmother: Mary Eugenia May Clarke.

My father was from San Luis Potosi and did some research into the Sandate surname. There are a lot of Sandate's in that area (San Luis Potosi/Gunajuato, etc.) but we are not in touch with any distant family there. With the help of the Morman curch records, though my dad found a marriage certificate dated 1760 in Mexcio of a De Sandate. We have not however been able to trace the name to Europe. We believe it may be Basque but have not confirmed it.

RIVERA family in Honduras, Belize, Bahamas, & Nicaragua

My aunt was born in (British) Honduras in Jan. 1925 in the Rivera family of Jaime and Mercedes. They had Oswald (Asbaldo),Rolando, Olga, and Eugene (Ojemio). They were each 1-2 years apart. The mother, Mercedes, is said to have died at childbirth with Eugene, and the father, Jaime, brought or sent the children to USA, New York, by way of New Orleans, LA, to go to an orphanage called Little Flower House of Providence on L.I.
Does this family sound familiar to anyone searching in any of these countries or the Rivera family?
Can you tell me how to search of a birth certificate in Honduras???

Gracias

Sandate family

I am looking for individuals that have the surname Sandate from Irapuato Guanajato Mexico. I married into the Sandate family and live here in Newton, Kansas. We are trying to put together a family geneology and gather stories and information. Please email me or send information if you have it. Refugio Sandate and her son Fidencio Sandate came to America in 1916 I believe and settled in Newton, Kansas. I believe her husband, Cecelio passed away the year before from the influenza epidemic. There was also a one year old daughter and we have no knowledge of what happened to her. We would like to know the whereabouts of descendants of Martin Sandate and his siblings. Martin was the father of Cecilio as I understand it.

All I know is that my grandfather was a descendent of Joaquin Caraccioli (I believe he was his grandfather) and that he had a brother named Francisco. They both lived in Villanueva, Cortés and had rarely contact with their family in San Pedro. I live in Washington D.C. and I would love to have more information if you don't mind to sharing some...

Regards,

I believe there is or was in this town during the 1800's an old church, that is not in use because of time. Maybe she was baptized there. I need an address or where can I find this infornation? I know there is a book for unmarried women. Does this make a differance, (in case)? Hope some one, canhelp me. I just want to complete my Genealogy of my parents. Thank you.

A few years ago I co-ordinated the transcription of all letters of application to join the Government emigration scheme to the Cape of Good Hope in 1819 (held at the National Archives in Kew), icluding letters from those who applied to go but were not accepted as "1820 settlers". At the time letters were transcribed from a "James Hanislans Bell" and his father William

http://www.genealogyworld.net/settlers/correspondence/Settle...

I have been reviewing the transcriptions to try and fill in missing words, and I now think that the middle name on his signature is Stanislaus. There may be something of interest in these letters for descendants.
