Surnames: Parakras Yannis
My father was born in Cyrpus, near Larnaca, in 1922.
His father was called George Valaliou Parakras, and was born in Thermi, Mytilini, Lesbos.
His mother was called Patricia Yannis, born in Cyprus.
Both died in Cyprus.
I don't know any details of birth or death sadly.
My father was the youngest son of 9 children.
The only clue I have to age are 2 photos (of each parent) taken when my father left Cyprus in 1939 (he joined the British Army).
My grandfather looks *old* - perhaps in his 70's. That would put his year of birth around 1860-1870.
My grandmother looks about 50, so that's about 1890 for her birth.
