Classification: Query
Surnames: AUGATHEAUS, ANGATHEASIS, ANGATHEANS, ANGATHIASIS, ANGATHERIS, ΑΓΓΑΘΕΡΗΣ, WILSON
Trying to find the actual surname of a Greek Cypriot who served with the 12th Bn South Staffordshire Regiment and died in France 25 Oct 1916.
The CWGC have his surname as AUGATHEAUS.
Soldiers Died has him as ANGATHEARIS.
His Medal Index Card says ANGATHEANS.
His marriage registration (Hull/Humberside, Q1 1914, to Teresa WILSON) has him as ANGATHIASIS.

Could someone from Cyprus tell me if any of the above variations is a viable Cypriot surname? I live in Greece, but can't find the name in the phone book.
The closest I've found is ΑΓΓΑΘΕΡΗΣ.

Efharisto poly gia opoiadipote voitheia!

Adrian
