Hello
l am searching for my fathers family from Farmagusta
my fathers name is Varnavas Michael Varnava born in Frennaros
in 1930 he was named after his father and his mothers name was Christina not sure on her maiden name.
My father came from a farming family there were 12 children
2 passed 10 still alive l have no names apart from a brother George and Chris.
My father and one sister are the only ones in the family to migrate my father came to Australia in 1951 married in 1952
to Phyllis Sedgman and they had 7 children. On my fathers immigration papers it states the name Ioannis Shapanis from Sydney Australia is his cousin.
His sister l think her name is Fanou (not sure) she has a son Tony & daughter Androulla and l think another daughter named Christina. My father went back to Cyprus in the 1970's
not sure if it was 1974 or 1975.
Any one with any imformation it would be greatly appreciated as l would like to add the family to my tree.
Thank you
Christina.
