I am looking for a family by the name of Jaickles or Haichelis (or derivatives of them). This family was living in Telenesh (about 40 miles from Kishinev) in the late 1800's. The father;s name was Mikhael and then mother was Sprintze. They had 4 daughters and 2 sons. The parents and three of the daughters left for NY in the mid to late 1890's.
We are looking for any connection to them, or for some kind of Census data showing the names of the people that lived in Telenesh at that time.
We have tried many resources and the names Jackles or Haichelis do not appear. Even in the Ellis Island manifests.
We are starting to believe that the name was changed somewhere and need that list to go through the names with the help of Yad BShem,
