I have a Romanian (or Moldavian) friend with a family name Sluser.

I have noticed that Romanian people always write this person's name wrong. I can also see that this person stands out from the 'normal' population.

What language is this name Sluser? Is not romanian... It sounds little German, yeah, but I REALLY DOUBT this possibility. Ottoman is not. I can figure out no meaning for this name either. People in this family all have dark hair, etc. This my friend, through looks I would say that might have Greek blood.
