My Dad was adopted and he has many Slovenian DNA matches. His closest match is a Maria Pecavar from the Mountains of Slovenia (maiden name Klepec). Maria lives now in Sonoma, CA. My Dad was born George William Nelson in Los Angeles June 8, 1928. I had his DNA tested with 23andme and FTDNA. Do you know of any relatives from Slovenia that could possibly be his birthparents? It says the birthmother was Clara Nelson, born in Washington around 1908. The birthfather is listed as Fred Nelson but I find this hard to believe because Nelson is not a Slovenian surname.
