Classification: Query
Surnames: Mravinec, Marvin, Marvinko, Marvinovich
My grandmother Helen Mravinec ( Marvinovich/Marvinko) was from Nova Lipa Slovenia,
Helen w as born on July 29, 1901 and was one of 6 children
from her father's first wife. After her mother died when Helen was 2
years old, her father had an additional six children with his second
wife. At that point, the first six children were no longer the center
of attention of the family. One of Helen's older sisters planned to come
to America, arranged for a ticket, but instead entered a convent. Helen
came to america in her place but was turned back at Ellis Island in New
york because the immigration quota had been filled. After crossing the
Atlantic for the third time, she immigrated in 1921.

Helen had 5 siblings. Anne settled in Kansas and married Joseph Wertin. Josephine became a nun and remained in Europe. Kate married Tony Abe and lived in Michigan. John and Frances lived in San Francisco.

I believe her father's name was Ivan. I am looking for her mother's name as well as her stepmother and the names of her step brothers and sisters
