What is I.E., your source for these later emigrants? Do you think that "Viniza" by this other Maria Sutej is supposed to be Vinica, or is there another town? If there is, it is yet another possibility.

That's a nice JPEG map!! Yes, I will have to remember the old name Laibach. It is useful for other alternate names, too.

I have a 1918 War Book and Atlas I need to go back to -- it is SO detailed, even small villages, and has older-style (alternate spelling) names. I should scan the Slovenia Croatia area right now, in fact. :) The book is falling apart.

PS I also must consider the possibility that "Winza" is in Croatia. . .in spite of what I was told about my great-grandmother. But if it was Vinica, that would explain some things about why I heard both Croatia/Slovenia.
