I did not obtain the documents from Slovenia. I was lucky and were given to me by my aunt. It is hand-dated 1906 at the bottom by the same 1890 preist's name at the top of document. Maybe the copy was requested while Domenic was in school studying to be a Marianist Brother in America. In 1906 he would have been 16. The handwriting is very hard to read, especially since its in German. It translates Legitimate Son. The biggest question: Under the Surmane and Status of Father, there is a large rectangular stamp. It photocopied dark and is unreadable, but seems to have a large image on it. There is also a large word written underneath it. In the translated version, it reads S_s__i. I would love to know what this stamp means! Another question,: Under the Surname and Status of Sponsors, there are 2 German words written with 3/4 between. These words were not translated. Maybe it just says, "Godmother or Godfather", but what does the 3/4 mean? The Sponsor names listed are Michael Ostronic and Barbara Ostronic, either brother and sister of the Mother, Maria, or her parents. (They had the same names). My research in Slovenia has just begun!
