Hello. I am looking for any family information about my great grandfather, born Georg(e) Flajnik, April 1863 in Austria, now Slovenia. He spoke German, and I think came from Weinitz/Vinica, or Hrast, traveling to the U.S. in 1890. He was a "master tailor" in Europe and also in Pittsburgh, PA where he lived until he died in 1938. In Austria abt 1887, he married Maria/Marija Ostronic, born 1865, also from Vinica. Their first child was Domenic/Domenikus Flajnik born Jan 1890 in Weinitz/Vinica, house No. 23 according to the birth/baptism certificate signed by Pfarrer Georg Konig. George and Mary had 3 daughters in Pittsburgh, Marie/Mary, Barbara, and Anne. U.S. census records show his name spelled Flajnik or Fleinick, and later spelled Flemick. We have no information on Geroge's parents or siblings in Austria/Slovenia, and I would love to fill in the Flajnik side of the tree. If you can help, please reply. Thank you in advance!
