I can't find the Chernivtsi forum.

Ukraine/ Bucovyna / Chernivtsi ..... Thats all I know of where my family emigrated from. My 2x great Grandparents came over Eli Butuk Born 1884 Austria and wife Doreen Chikosky Born 1893 Austria they are Ukrainians from the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

My great grandparents died before i was born so I am very limited on resources for finding out my origins... I put a song up on youtube of my 2x Great Grandpa Eli Butuk singing a song in Ukrainian, I soon got a reply from a fellow Ukrainian from Bukovina and he said the Song my 2x grandfather sang came from the Bucovina(Chernivci region)

Also Eli's wife my 2x great grandmother died in Canada, British Columbia, Okanagan, Kelowna ( Area ), I happen to live in Kelowna to this day( So it makes me wonder. Also i was doing some Wikki research.

Dr. Josef Oleskow who is considered responsible for the large Ukrainian Canadian population through his promotion of Canada as a destination for immigrants from Western Ukraine (the Austrian crownlands of Galicia and Bukovyna) in the late 1890s. Ukrainians from Eastern Ukraine, which was ruled by the Russian monarchy, also came to Canada – but in smaller numbers than those from Halychyna and Bukovyna. Approximately 170,000 Ukrainians from the Austro-Hungarian Empire arrived in Canada from 1891 to 1914.

There were 2 waves of Ukrainians that came to Canada

1 Settlement – First Wave (1891–1914)
2 Settlement – Second Wave (1920–1929)

Also My my Great Grandpa ( Eli Butuk's son) was Born in Canada/Saskatchewan 01 Nov 1912 - Died in Salmo / British Columbia / Canada in 1965. Since my Great Grandfatehr was born in Canada in "1912" I 100% Believe my family came over in the First Settlement wave (1891–1914).
