HAMILTON TOWNSHIP - Mary Kasparianz Chernishov, 95, died Thursday at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in Rikovo, Soviet Union, she left there with her family during World War II and settled in Rome, Italy. Later, she moved to the U.S. with her three children in 1957 and was a Trenton and Yardville resident since. She retired in 1977 after 20 years of service as a sewing machine operator with the Switlik Parachute Company of Trenton. Mary is lovingly known as "Baba" and will be truly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Simon and Margarita Ovsepian Kasparianz, wife of the late Alexander V. Chernishov, she was predeceased by her five brothers. She is survived by her two daughters, Gail Ladnyk and Victoria Chernishov; her son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Elizabeth Chernishov; six grandchildren and spouses, Alexander and Ann Ladnyk, Victor and Silvana Ladnyk, Irene and Michael Czymelewicz, Nicole and Harvey Erlich, Danielle and Thomas Hannawacker and James Chernishov; her seven great-grandchildren, Lisa and Stacey Czymelewicz, Marco and Steven Ladnyk, Elizabeth Hannawacker and Matthew and Michael Erlich. The funeral and Panachida services will be conducted 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Winowicz Funeral Home, Adeline and Beatty streets. Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Byzantine Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary with Fr. Gregory J. Noga presiding. Burial will be in St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery #3, Hamilton Township. Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Parastas services conducted at 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to either the Deborah Hospital Foundation, NJ Region, PO Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015 or to the St. Mary's Byzantine Church, 411 Adeline St., Trenton, NJ 08611.
