HAMILTON TOWNSHIP - Anna Ilczenko, 86, of Yardville, died Saturday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Mrs. Ilczenko was born in Ukraine and lived in Ewing before moving to Yardville in 1986. She was a retired machine operator employed by Switlik Parachute Co., Trenton. She was a former elementary school teacher in Horlovka, Ukraine and also at St. George's Ukrainian School. Anna was a founding member and honorary president of St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, serving as president and trustee for many years, president of St. Olga's Sisterhood and founding member of both the Ukrainian National Home and United Ukrainian Orthodox Sisterhoods of the USA. Daughter of the late Kuzma and Horpyna Parowczenko, sister of the late Mykola, Michael, Olga and Tatiana and wife of the late Wasyl Ilczenko, she is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Olga and Michael Zeleznock of Columbus; son and daughter-in-law, Nikolaus and Maria Ilczenko of Chesterfield; grandsons Michael Zeleznock, Esq., and Andrew Zeleznock; granddaughter and husband, Tanya and Dominic Cuccia; granddaughter, Christine Ilczenko; great-grandson, Matthew Cuccia; and many nieces and nephews in the United States, Ukraine and Russia. Funeral service will be 9 a.m. Thursday at St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 839 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville with the Rev. Petro Levko officiating. Interment will be in St. Andrew's Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, South Bound Brook. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the church.
