HAMILTON TOWNSHIP - Anna Holubowycz Sydor, 80, died Thursday peacefully at home. Born in Lvov, Ukraine, Mrs. Sydor came to the U.S. in the early 1950's and was a Trenton and Hamilton Township resident since that time. She retired in 1988 after 15 years of service with the State of New Jersey with the Department of Education at the downtown Trenton offices. Previously, Mrs. Sydor was employed as a seamstress with the Atlantic Products Company; at the Burlington Coat Factory; and initially with Aberdeen Sportsware Company in Trenton. Anna had a very strong faith in God and was a very active member in her church, its events and many activities throughout the year. In addition to being a very caring mother and grandmother, she was an extremely hospitable person, ensuring that no one left her home hungry or without taking a little "Care" package for later. Daughter of the late Joachim and Anna Danylo Holubowycz, wife of the late Wasyl Sydor, and mother of the late Mykola Sydor, she is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Wasyl and Gina Sydor of Hamilton Square and Jaroslaw "Jerry" Sydor of Hamilton; five grandchildren, Andrey, Alex, Steven, Shane and Nicole Sydor; several great-grandchildren; her sister Helen Nadraga of Hamilton Township; two nephews Mike Holubowycz and Orest Nadraga; and several nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Ukraine. Panachida service will be conducted 9 a.m. Monday in the Winowicz Funeral Home, Adeline and Beatty Streets. Funeral Mass will be offered 10 a.m. Monday in St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church with Rev. Volodymyr Popyk officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Assumption Cemetery #2, Hamilton Township. Calling hour will be 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Josaphat's Church, 1195 Deutz Ave., Trenton, NJ 08611.
