The CURRENT PLACE NAME of your ancestral village is selo/village Yanoshi = Яноші. It was founded in the 14th century. During Kingdom of Hungary > Austro-Hungarian Period it was called Makkosjanosi. At the turn of the last century it was predominantly a Hungarian village of 787 residents. The village had/has its own Reform and Greek Catholic Parishes. The filial Roman Catholic parish was in Bereszasz (today Berehove). Today there are 2,030 residents there, 23 of whom are called Hopak. (No HAPAK listed.) I am only transliterating male names for you.
