Last year we were guests of the ladies club at a nearby village of Gornje Bukovlje, which was another town established by the Austrians to protect Europe from further incursion of the Ottoman Turks. The video below Andrew Norris (who was one of our hosts last year) made a video where villagers discuss the history. We will return again this Sept on our Heritage Tour. Video 47 was made of our visit last year This villages is much like Malinci

The 1882 Peasant revolt began as a Nationalis Revolt by the Croatians due to the hegemony of the Hungarian authority. The last straw was when the Hungarian authority replace Croatian language signs on public buildings with Hungarian langauge signs. After the revolt began peasants, joined due to the high taxes imposed on them by Hungary

Here is a link to a book discussing that revolt

I visit the Croaitan National Archives every year and will do so again on our tour in Sept of this year, and am not aware of any death lists from that revolt. But this would be a good question this year
