The expert on the Borg family definitely is Julius Borg. Please contact him via http://www.maltagenealogy.com/juliusborg01.html
. He has collected information on all of the Borgs from Egypt, even those he wasn't releated to!
Another way to access records is via GRO:
DEATH Gaetano Borg: Death betw. 1876-1880, Volume 6, Page 534. You can order the death certificate via www.gro.gov.uk
. The cost for a document lies between 9 and 10 £. You can pay by credit card.
And a third possiblity are the UK National Archives.: http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/SearchUI/browse/C71...
All possible court records from the British consulate in Alexandria and Cairo are archived there. By ordering relevant copies you can uncover amazing information. I found the name of my great grandfather's third wife (Nicola Borg) this way and the names of the sister's and brothers-in-law from my paternal great grandfather by requesting copies of their probates. Here all you need is a little bit of time and patience. The copies cost about 1£ per page, so make sure you note that you only need the part of the file pertaining to whatever case you think may apply. If you live in the UK, you can go to the Archives and have a look at the documents on location. You may need an appointment however.
Hope to have helped a bit further. If Gaetano is Angelo's son and Nicola's brother, I would be interested in any information you've got. After all Gaetano would then be my grandmother's uncle. She's Nicolas youngest child, by the way, from his second wife.
