Hi, if your ancestor was buried in Saudi Arabia, then there is a high possiblity that he was buried as a muslim. if that is the case his last name would no longer have been bardowell but more likely to be a muslim surname. Muslims who pass away abroad are generally buried in an area called Janat ul Baqi, there is no name to the person buried. I hope you find out where your grandfather is buried and may God help you in your quest. Khalid
