My mother's family name was Schmolke and they came from Silesia; however, I am certain that we are related. I would say the best person to ask for this information is Nancy Pundsac, also listed on this search. She has the whole of what I know about my family. She has done very much research on the subject of Schmolke. I am living in Germany and working for the Government; however, I have not had the time to go to Teleiwitz or Seidlow ( where my ancester come from). I guess one would have to find a map from before the Second World War to find out how close your family was to Seidlow; however, a good source librarymay have it. I will look for one in Germany and see for myself. I am certain that we are related. I think your best bet is Nancy Pundsac.
