Re the Census information:
There are sometimes errors: either in transcription - etc - information put on the wrong line etc - perhaps that happened with the dates of birth for the sons. Did you view the transcriptions - or the actual film?
*eg. My grandmother Julia was shown as Ilushka on one - Clininka [not a known given name anywhere I researched] on another - and a blob of ink on another. an aunt was shown as a son.
Attestation Papers: Viewed online?
Have you obtained the actual service records? - they are very interesting - well worth the very small fee. These may have been corrected re birth dates.
Have you considered obtaining - the Birth Records of the Children.
Provincial Archive of Alberta - Edmonton - should have this information to 1905.
How do the births of the daughters - fit in with the sons.
Do you have Marriage Registrations or information for the children of Robert Leonard BARKER?
This will not show their birth dates - only the ages.
Do you have the Death Registrations?-This will have all personal information required at the time - including date and place of birth - * as known to the informant.
**Contact the Funeral Home in Charge of Arrangements - they may have also taken information [from the Informant -?family member? friend? etc]
for an Obituary if one was published.

*the obit of Robert Leonard BARKER - states a widower since 1910?
The person placing the Obituary - may not have known/ remembered the actual year. The Funeral Home may have been in charge of the Obit. Check with them - to find the name of the person placing the Obit.
Why in Vancouver?: It is beautiful -warm -
Perhaps had family,friends - to visit.
Have you taken a look at the filmed death registration?
will show personal information - name of informant - relationship to deceased. Whether the burial was in Vancouver - or returned to Calgary.
I checked the Mountain View Cemetery Site - There is no burial listed for Barbara - other cemeteries are not searchable.
The filmed death registration can be viewed at the Provincial Archive in Victoria -
Some Public or University Libraries in the Province. of B.C.
