J.B. "Mac" McKinney went to the Peace River area in 1928. He was known as "the Mayor of Three Creeks" as he located land for many of the early homesteaders. Mac came north from the United States (Idaho), and took a homestead beside the creek which, I heard, is still known as McKinney Creek. Can anyone give me information about this or lead me to someone who could. This is my g-grandfather. Thank you.
