I would like to have an obituary for my great Uncle. I know that he went by "Doc" Coleman so not sure how an obit would be listed. He may have went by any of these names. All these names are listed in the cemetery records. Some records have the initials I.J. Coleman. In his mother's obituary he is listed as "Doc" J. Coleman. His parents are Ambery Coleman and Della (Dellie) St. Clair. He was born 7 Aug 1892 in Nebraska. I have that he died on 5 Jan 1955 in High River, buried in Nanton. I would, also, like to have the name of his wife and when and where they were married. Any information on this family would be appreciated. Thank you.

He was married to Carrie Kemp McCarthy, 1874-1965, who was born in St. Catharines, Ontario and educated at Loretto Abbey and Ontario Ladies College before settling with her family in Calgary in 1887.
John Paul Morgan

I am looking for my grandfather John Paul Morgan. He had no record of his birth year or date but was probably born between 1890 - 1895 and was told he was born in the High River area. His parents apparently died when he was an infant and he was raised in the US. When he was a young adult he received a tidy sum of money from Rome. My family has a theory that he may have been an illegitimate child of a Catholic priest who was in the High River area. This may seem far fetched but this is all we can come up with at the moment. His parents names were John Paul Sr. and Susan Morgan. He also apparently had a sister.

My grandfather went to the High River area as an adult to seek any information. He found nothing. Not knowing his birthdate became a difficulty for him (especially when he was ready to retire).

Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated.

William Edward Deane-Freeman, 1888-1954, was born in Millarville, Alberta. In 1914 he married Annie Daisy "Nancy" Mends-Gibson, ?-1917, and they had three children, Clive, Desmond and Barbara. The family lived at Lineham and later at Millet. He married Mabel Strong Riggs, ?-1976, in 1921 and they had one daughter, Margaret (Graves), 1922-1973. In 1922 William bought the Monea Ranch near Millarville, which had at one time belonged to his father, Joseph. The ranch was sold in 1947 and the family moved to High River. The Deane-Freemans had played an important part in early sporting activities in Millarville, and William was a polo player and captain of the High River Polo Team in about the 1920s or 1930s. He was warden at Christ Church, and Mabel was an organizer of the Ladies' Guild.
