Hugh died in Winnifred in 1919 as his mother, Hannah did later that year.

Any information on Hugh Dougherty or Doherty would be helpful. I don't believe that he married. Flint did marry but his wife died in 1912.

Thanks
Dawn

Researching my great grandparents AJ and Annie HINES, maiden name MARIN or MORROW; and the HALPIN side, names possibly Joseph and Mae (or May). They had Eileen HINES (my grandmother) plus several sons in 1890's-1900's: John, Ambrose, Pat are 3 names I remember) and aunts surnamed NOLAN. The Halpins had Stephen Joseph (my grandfather) plus several boys and girls, one child was Lawrence and possibly an Ambrose. I don't know anything about how the Halpins came to be in Canada from Ireland, but do know that Stephen was born in the late 1890's in Wisconsin. Any information on either side would be greatly appreciated. E-mail aballog@aol.com

My GG Mother Anna (Shotts) Bruneau died in 1955 in Duluth Minn. I came a cross her photo album which contains photos taken in 1927 of her at 'the old homestead'. I believe it was in Burdett, Alberta as there is also a photo with many women entitled gathering of the 'Burdett 500s'. Any clues anyone can provide about a German family named Shotts in the Burdett area in the late 1800's would be appreciated.

There is a sign with the word "HOPING" on Hiway 61 pointing south, this is near Nemiscam, between Foremost and Etzikom. Also was there a Hoping Post Office. Would appreciate the Land Location if possible. Also does anyone know of a Website listing old one-room school houses in Alberta.

They are the names of those wives that married into the Doherty Family.

Hugh Doherty was born 01/18/1867 in Glasgow Scotland and married in Winnifred Alb Canada. He died 03/18/1919. He was the oldest of 11 children of John Doherty and Hannah O'Donnell from Donegal Ireland. His youngest sister was my great grandmother: Birdie Bridget Doherty Keaster of Chouteau County Montana born 11/21/1887 in Streator, Illinois.

Any information on this line would help us a great deal.
Larson at Settlement of Comrey

I am looking for a man by the name of Columbus Larson.
He was a store owner and postmaster in North Dakota
until 1910 or so. At that time he went into Canada and
has disappeared. A listing shows a man by the name of
C. Larson as having a store and post office at Comrey
in Alberta. Are there any records of the area that could
tell me it this could be the same man? What county is
Comrey in? Is there a listing somewhere of people
connected with the post office? Any help or suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Elaine Lund
