Bryce Kenneth Campbell passed away peacefully at Mackenzie Place, Grande Prairie, Alta., on December 19, 1997 at the age of 76 years. He leaves to mourn his wife of 42 years Mary, his son Lyle (Barbara) of Beaverlodge, his daughters Sandra (Cam) Campbell of Grande Prairie and Colleen (Harvey) Wiens of Grande Prairie. Bryce was the proud grandfather of Alpha-Dawn, Casi-Anne, Karson, Jacee-Lea, Amber, Kori, Kirstie and Jordy and his great- granddaughter McKenzie. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Lawrence (Bernice) Penney of Edmonton, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Billy and sister-in-law Georgina. Bryce was born in Northern Ireland in 1921, moved to Canada in 1923 and found his way to the Peace Country shortly after. He met Mary Penney in Wembley in 1955 and they were married in 1956. During his lifetime Bryce farmed, drove his own trucks, drove a school bus, and delivered mail in the Lake Saskatoon area, and finally was the janitor of the Helen E. Taylor School in Wembley when he retired in 1985.
He enjoyed sports, the outdoors and his grandchildren. Visitation at Oliver's Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel, 10005-107 Avenue on Monday December 22, 1997 from 7-8 p.m. A graveside funeral service will be held at Lake Saskatoon Cemetery on Tuesday, December 23, 1997 at 1 p.m. Rev.
