An old address book which belonged to my grandfather George Pickard states that his cousin J W Pickard was living at 3rd. Street Medicine Hat around 1910 to 1920.
I believe this would be John William Pickard, the son of John Reynard Pickard, and J W was born on 17 Feb 1873 in Leeds, Yorkshire, UK. He subsequently lived in Scarborough UK where he was a baker on the 1901 census.
If there are any descendants of J W Pickard in Medicine Hat or elsewhere in Canada, I would be delighted to hear from them
