Hello, I am looking for any information about my Grandfather, Thomas W. McElheny, born 1869, in Kansas, United States.
He was listed with his wife, Martha and children in the 1911 Census of Canada.
He was normally a farmer or rancher. They ran a boarding house in Medicine Hat in 1911.
About 1913-1914, Thomas McElheny disappeared. Some of his clothes were found by a river, but no body was found. We never knew for sure if he died or ran off on purpose. Family rumor was that he ran off and left his wife and 7 children.
I cannot find any death records, obituaries, or newspapers that mention his death or disappearance. Does anyone have a way to help me look for him? They were Catholic, if that helps. Thank you! Colleen McElheny Turner
