Adelbert Perrier, 1913, south end barbershop, Red Deer
Hello,
Adelbert, who went by Albert sometimes, owned the South End Barbershop in 1908. In 1913, his children were taken away by the Dept. On Neglected Children in edmonton. I remember seeing a newspaper article to this effect at one time and cannot find it again. There were 3 children involved-Thelma, Effie, and Edmond. I would like to know more about this event. Could anyone help find the article in probably the Edmonton Journal or Sun? I know that the mother had the children in 1912 but they had been separated for some time. I cannot find Adelbert on the 1906 or 1911 Censuses. At some point, Albert married Maude Bench and from what I understand, she looked after the children very well. I don't have any details on that marriage. Albert is supposed to have died July 9, 1953 but I don't know where.
Must be near Red Deer. I don't know about Maude's death.
I would be grateful for any help.
Peggy G.
